A Night to Remember: The Blue Knight Gala and a MAGNUS Honor
Last night, I had the privilege of attending the OKCPD Foundation’s Blue Knight Gala—a truly special evening dedicated to honoring and supporting our law enforcement community.
From the meaningful conversations to the heartfelt moments shared, the night was a beautiful reminder of the strength and unity that exists behind the badge. The foundation’s commitment to officer wellness and community connection was on full display, and I was proud to be a small part of it. Events like this reinforce the importance of standing beside those who serve—retired or active—and continuing to show up with gratitude and support. It was an evening I won’t forget.
But what made this weekend even more meaningful was something that happened quietly after the gala had ended.
In a private and powerful moment, Jennifer Boxwell was formally inducted as a Knight of MAGNUS by Retired Chief Sam Spiegel and the National Command & Staff College.
This wasn’t just a title—it was a reflection of who Jennifer is. Not only is she a wife and mother of law enforcement, but she carries the spirit of MAGNUS in everything she does. Her heart for first responders is unwavering, and her commitment to leadership, service, and resilience runs deep.
To be a Knight of MAGNUS is to embody MAGNANIMITY, courage, and the willingness to elevate those around you. Jennifer lives that daily—and this honor couldn’t have been more deserved.

Congratulations, Jennifer. Your strength and heart inspire more than you know.
